Annual Report

Overview

Humane Globe has started a mission about a year ago to address one of the most important challenges kids with cancer face i.e., getting access to life-saving medications. Most of you are well aware how difficult it is for children in countries with economic difficulties to receive good treatment. Medical experts say that more than 85% of children with cancer can fully recover if and only if they receive the required medications. The severity of this issue was/is so high that everyday we were preparing for our campaign, children were losing their lives for this same reason.

However, now that we are giving our first annual report, we are proud of what our donors helped us to achieve. The Humane Globe mission has resonated with many who have noticed the problem for a while but were probably looking for a way to address it. We posted our campaign on various social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and the attention and engagement from the viewers caught us by surprise. Our donors come from more than 10 countries (Switzerland, Germany, France, US, Canada, UK …) and across 3 continents.

As a result of these generous donations, the details of which are provided below in the financial section of the report, we could purchase vital medications from world-renowned suppliers and manufacturers and complete three deliveries. On average, our program currently covers around 120 children with cancer aged between one month to thirteen years old who can now benefit from good-quality medications provided by Humane Globe and keep their hopes up in this harsh battle.

Remarks

1. This report is prepared to brief the members of the general assembly and the general audience of the Humane Globe Association on the sum of donations and expenditures over 2020 and 2021.
2. As Humane Globe was founded in late 2020, this report covers a bit before the last financial year, i.e. 2021, and covers the fall of 2020 as well. From 2022 onwards, the report will only cover one financial year.

It is worth noting that the donations include the transaction via all available payment methods such as Paypal, Online Transfer, Credit Card payments, and Twint. The expenditures include operational costs – such as account management fees, payment portal fees, costs associated with the website, and shipment fees – and the funds spent on the procurement of the medicines and their shipment.

In summary, the Humane Globe Association has received an equivalent of 124388.85 CHF (118533.43 CHF and 5599.23 EUR) in donations and membership fees in the period of November 2020 to December 2021. Out of this sum, 108050.9 CHF are spent on the procurement of medications, 1790.42 CHF are spent on the operational costs, and 14547.53 CHF are carried over to 2022. This latter amount together with the funds raised in 2022 will be spent on the purchase of medications.
